On Jun 28, Mr. Luong Quang Trung, Chief of Taipei Economic - Cultural Office (Taiwan, China) in HCM City, led a delegation to pay a courtesy visit to Binh Duong leadership. The delegation also had Mr. Sony Cheng, former Chief of Taipei Economic - Cultural Office (Taiwan, China) in HCM City, current consultant of Kuo Wang Group; Mr. Dauglas Wang, Director of machinery equipment division of Kuo Wang Group. Kuo Wang Group is a state-owned enterprise that was established in 1946 and is specialized in designing, manufacturing buses fuelled by diesel and operating the leading transport network in Taiwan. Implementing southbound policies of the state, the group has expanded investments in Southeast Asian countries, in which Vietnam is the first destination. In Binh Duong province, the group wishes to jointly build up and operate Public passenger transport center meeting international standards; and form joint venture for bus manufacture or transfer production technologies of trucks, buses serving the urban modernization process, helping the people to switch from private transport to public safe, modern, economical transport means.
At the meeting, Mr. Tran Thanh Liem, Deputy Chairman of PPC, welcomed the interest of the group that was in line with the needs and conditions of Binh Duong province. Binh Duong will deploy BRT fast urban bus system towards PPP, thus the presence of the group would be very timely. PPC will create all favorable conditions for investors to survey, implement quickly and effectively investment projects.
