At the conference semi-summing up activities of Vietnam-Singapore Industrial Park Labor Union of 2018-2023 tenure organized early October 6, the targets were set for reforms of operations by taking unionists and workers as center of duties of VSIP Labor Union to power up the organization by the strength of working people’s collective.
Besides, VSIP Labor Union organization shall be firmly consolidated and developed to become a true representative of working people. Harmonious and stable labor relationship is constructed at the working place, contributing significantly to sustainable socio-economic development and maintaining security and social safety while assuring environment for investment luring to Vietnam-Singapore Industrial Park.
For the time, VSIP Labor Union has promoted projects of reforming its operations by applying specialized conditions for planning and effective implementation. Many grassroots have signed collective labor agreements with favorable conditions to take care of unionists and workers as well as to sustain the union organization. Up to date, 241 out of 366 grassroots have signed collective labor agreements which stood at 66%. Ninety eight percent of workers have signed employment contracts with social, medical, and unemployment insurance policies. 335 out of 366 enterprises have constructed payrolls. 142 enterprises having labor unions have established the Council of Labor Sanitation and Safety with 435 members.
From now to the end of the term, Vietnam-Singapore Industrial Park aims at admitting at least 15,000 new unionist while maintaining 70% and more of grassroots and 75% of enterprises qualified by Vietnamese Labor Union regulations for having labor union organizaitons.
