On May 27, the provincial People’s Committee vice chairman Tran Thanh Liem and reps of departments, agencies of Thuan An town paid encouragement visits to some enterprises affected by the last unprompted demonstrations. After hearing about concrete supportive policies, enterprises are very happy and believe in the Party and State’s policies.

Enterprises believe in local policies
At Thong Dung Footwear Co.Ltd. in An Phu ward, Thuan An town, after hearing about petitions of businesses, the provincial People’s Committee vice chairman Tran Thanh Liem announced concrete supportive measures for businesses in line with the Government Office’s Announcement No.207 on helping enterprises damaged by extremist protesters resume production.
Tran Thanh Liem said that after the past incident, the provincial leaders promptly set out measures to help enterprises resume production. Until now, more than 95% of businesses affected by the past incident in the province have resumed production. Most of the businesses believe in supportive policies of exempting, reducing and extending land tax and corporate tax. The local administration gives priorities to help the affected businesses import machines in service for production. As for the affected companies facing difficulties in procedures and papers relating to production resume, the local authority will help them complete dossiers in the soonest time.
Tsai Hun Lie, general director of Thong Dung Footwear Co.Ltd said that in the past incident, the company informed functional agencies and laborers about its operational suspension. After meeting with functional agencies and hearing about concrete information, Tsai Hun Lie believes in support policies of the provincial authority and Vietnamese Government. Departments, agencies and Thuan An town will in the coming time support the company to solve issues to maintain jobs for 4,500 company workers. As for salary, social and unemployment insurance policies for the company workers, functional agencies in cooperation with the company has solved satisfactorily.
Commitment for a long-term cement
At the meeting with the provincial leaders, Chang Liang Ping, general director of Viet Hsing International Apparel Co.Ltd. in Binh Chuan ward, Thuan An town expressed his frank sharing. He said that he is a Taiwanese living and working in Vietnam for 23 years. Viet Hsing project has been present at Vietnam for 20 years. With many years of living and working in Binh Duong, he loves Vietnamese country and people like his second homeland. Vietnamese workers are very laborious, so he believes in timely support policies of authorities at all levels, he added.
“In the most difficult time, many Vietnamese employees helped me so I will continue my long-term investment in Binh Duong”, he affirmed.
After hearing about petitions of leaders of Viet Hsing International Apparel Co.Ltd., the provincial leaders acknowledged and steered leaders of departments, agencies and Thuan An town to set out concrete support policies for the company, especially wage of laborers and policies of social and unemployment insurance for workers. Tran Thanh Liem shared difficulties with the company and hoped that the company would resume production as soon as possible.
