The provincial People’s Committee ratified a plan on implementing the program of agricultural structure transfer. As planned, till 2015 the local agricultural land area will account for about 70% of the whole province’s natural land area, farm produce output value will reach VND80mil per ha per year, hi-tech agriculture will win VND150-200milper ha per year. In addition, the locality will set up hi-tech agricultural areas with the total area of about 1,000ha and urban agricultural zone of about 1,500ha and breeding area of over 450,000 cattles and over 3mil poultries.
And, the province will set up a safe vegetable area of about 200ha in Tan Uyen, Phu Giao and Ben Cat districts as well as create flower and ornamental tree growing areas in Thi Tinh River, Thuan An town and orchards in Thuan An town, Tan Uyen, Dau Tieng and Ben Cat districts.
Moreover, hi-tech agricultural areas growing safe vegetables, fruit trees, flower and ornamental trees will be set up in Phu Giao, Tan Uyen and Ben Cat districts.
Additionally, the plan includes programs of hi-tech applied agricultural development, urban agricultural development, orchard and breeding development.
