Over the past time, the province’s collective economy reached many considerable results, actively contributing to the local socio-economic development.

The whole province is now home to 139 cooperative groups with 1,423 members and total capital of VND78.2billion, 158 cooperatives and people’s credit funds with 55,494 members and charter capital of more than VND770.7trillion. 100% of province-based cooperatives have worked under the Law on Cooperative in 2012. Tan My fruit tree cooperative is one of the province’s collective economic models with high economic efficiency
Le Minh Sang, Director of Tan My fruit tree cooperative in North Tan Uyen district’s Tan My commune said that being established in 2015, the cooperative includes more than 60 hectares of land for pomelo, orange and tangerine cultivation under VietGap standards with the annual output of more than 300 tons. So far, the cooperative has reached VND10billion in annual revenue, generated jobs for 20 rural laborers with the average income of VND6million-VND7million per person per month.
People’s credit fund is one of the province’s most effective collective economic models. Over the past time, people’s credit funds constantly developed in both operational quality and scale with the average income of laborers at VND10million-VND12million per person per month.
Vo Minh Chanh, CEO of An Thanh People’s Credit Fund in Thuan An town said that over the past years, the fund was proactive to put forth measures to remove its obstacles. Upon this, in 2018 alone, the fund’s total mobilized capital reached more than VND428.3trillion, up more than VND22.56trillion compared to the same period last year…
The province now has many effective cooperative groups, cooperatives, people’s credit funds, namely Thanh Kien guava cooperative, Minh Giang taxi cooperative, Thanh Long civil engineering cooperative, Hiep An environment cooperative…They have tapped the local existing potential, promoted coherence with organizations for market expansion, step by step improving their business scopes for higher economic efficiency. Their laborers have also got the average income of VND6million-VND7million per person per month.
Effective models replicated
The above-mentioned results came from the efforts by sectors, authorities at all levels, cooperative groups, cooperatives and people’s credit funds. Noticeably, the local policies contributed to helping cooperatives reach in-depth investment for better development.
Nguyen Tien Dung, Vice-Chairman of provincial Cooperative Alliance said that cooperative is one of collective economic models that need to be multiplied widely. In the coming time, provincial Cooperative Alliance will guide cooperatives to work under the law; give training courses for cadres; create optimal conditions for cooperatives to work effectively.
In addition, provincial Cooperative Alliance will further replicate effective cooperative models. The unit will also bring into full play achievements done; promote cooperatives, cooperative groups; diversify cooperative forms reasonably…
Such these apart, provincial Cooperative Alliance will strive to partially meet cooperatives’ demand for capital to develop services in order to decrease the price of products, improve their quality and ensure food safety-hygiene; strengthen coherence between cooperatives and enterprises in and out of the province. In 2019, the unit will help collective economy with cooperative as the core hold an important role in the socio-economic development.
