Binh Duong province’s economy in the first four months of 2018 continued achieving high growth. Upon this, the province has taken major solutions to reach the set targets of the whole year and the following years.
Sectors on sharp growth
Over the past four years, the province’s index of industrial production surged 7.91% compared to the same period of last year. The province’s total retail sales revenue of commodities and services was more than VND60.39trillion, up 16.9% while the province’s consumer price index grew by 2.01% against the same period of last year. The province’s export value was estimated at US$7.5billion.

The province also absorbed more than VND17.16trillion in domestic capital from 1,415 newly-registered enterprises and 319 extra-ones. In terms of foreign investment, the province lured additional US$608million or 43.5% of the year’s plan and was among the country’s top three localities in FDI attraction.
Thanks to production-business activities getting thriving, the province’s State budget collection gained good results with around VND16.8trillion, up 4% compared to the corresponding period of last year.
Drastically taking solutions
According to provincial People’s Committee, the province’s socio-economic situation reached comprehensive development. Many sector achieved high growth, significantly contributing to the local common development. To ensure stable development, the province will modify a regulation on arrangement of industries; issue a joint regulation on managing enterprises after being established and a plan on encouraging business households to turn into enterprises for the period of 2018-2020 while keeping a close watch on goods supply and market price.
The province will also perfect a set of advanced criteria on new rural construction; respond to the National Week on Rural Clean Water and Environmental Hygiene; continue strengthening control over land and dealing with cases causing environmental pollution; further perfect projects on building Binh Duong new coach station, improving the quality of public passenger transportation by bus; well controlling over urban order and residential areas…In addition, the province will actively manage the local State budget; continue rechecking to remove obstacles and hasten the process of construction of main projects, works…
At the periodical session in April, 2018 of provincial People’s Committee, Tran Thanh Liem, Vice-Secretary of provincial Party Committee, Chairman of provincial People’s Committee affirmed that the province will be more drastic in building the local e-Government architecture framework; set up hot lines for people and enterprises…The province will also further implement solutions to improve a set of criteria on provincial Competitive Index (PCI) and the effectiveness of provincial Public Administration Performance Index (PAPI)…
