Nguyen Thi Minh Tan and her mushroom germ farm with the annual income of billions of dong

In recent years, province-based farms have been developed under the plan. Many have had large-scale investment with sci-tech application in production, bringing high efficiency in output and economic value. The nearly one-hectare mushroom germ farm of Nguyen Thi Minh Tan residing in Long Hoa commune’s Long Tho hamlet in Dau Tieng is a typical example for this. Every month, her farm supplies Binh Duong and localities in the Mekong Delta region with 10,000 various mushroom germs. After 15 years of development, her farm has reached stable growth with the annual income of billions of dong, generating jobs for 20 local laborers with the monthly salary of between VND4mln and VND8mln per person.

Meanwhile, Tran Thi Kim Mai residing in Long Nguyen commune’s Bung Thuoc hamlet in Bau Bang district said that she spent several billions of dong on developing a modern and large-scale chicken farm. Estimatedly, after operating stably, the farm will bring her the annual profit of VND200mln-VND400mln

Active support

In recent years, provincial People’s Committee has also promulgated a lot of policies to promote the local farm economy. The practical and timely support has created favorable conditions for farms here to expand production, increase productivity and products’ quality for better development.

Provincial Investment and Development Fund in the period of 2021 and 2015 also considered and disbursed VND43.95trillion in loan for 15 plans in this sector. Most plans have worked very effectively with the annual income of hundreds of millions of dong. They have also contributed to making the local shift of animal and plant structure with sci-tech advancements applied.

Province-based farms now supply a large amount of poultry meat and egg products, fruits, vegetables…for customers in and out of the province. The local farmers have also bravely changed to centralized models under VietGap standards in order to create safe products with big economic value, which is seen a way of course of sustainable agriculture.

In the coming time, provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Development will further implement training plans on orientation of agricultural development in accordance with an added value linkage chain for organizations and farms, department vice-director Pham Van Bong said.
