The provincial People’s Committee yesterday held a 95th session to ratify contents of socio-economic situation, defense-security in 2010 and orientations and tasks for 2011. In 2010, the local socio-economic situation has showed positive changes with many economic targets reaching and exceeding plan.
Total local GDP surged 14.5% compared to the same period last year, of which agro-forestry and fishery sector increased 2.2%, industry and construction rose 11.1% and service jumped 23.9%. The local economic structure in 2010 is industry-service-agriculture with the density of 63%-32.6%-4.4%. GDP per capita in this year is estimated at VND30.1mil.
Local budget collection reached VND19tril, a 34% rise from 2009. The work of social welfare and education – training has been maintained and innovated. As for healthcare, food safety and hygiene and epidemic control have been improved significantly. Meanwhile, administration reform has completed its 2nd phase and kept launching the third phase of Government’s project 30.
At the session, some deputies contributed ideas relating to education-training, service business license granting, agriculture… Concluding the session, the provincial People’s Committee chairman Nguyen Hoang Son asked to adjust some contents and terms to perfect reports for the approve at the coming session. Participants also agreed on documents set out at the session.
