Provincial People’s Committee, on July 30, held a periodic session in July, 2018 with focus on approving some contents, including a draft report on socio-economic development, national defence-security in July, 2018; a draft report on the realization of provincial Party Committee’s Program No.34-CTr/TU improving investment attraction for the period of 2016-2020…Tran Thanh Liem, Vice-Secretary of provincial Party Committee, Chairman of provincial People’s Committee presided over the session.
Reportedly, the province’s index of industrial production (IIP) in July surged 7.1% compared to the previous month. The province’s total retail sales revenue of commodities and services was VND15.9trillion. The province’s export turnover was estimated at US$2billion while import value was US$1.6billion. Also in July, the province absorbed US$177million, bringing the total amount of FDI capital since early this year to around US$850million. The province organized many practical activities of “paying debt of gratitude” on the occasion of the 71st anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs’ Day with a total cost of VND16.4billion. Besides, the province reached positive changes in terms of education, healthcare, culture-sports and tourism, science-technology…with national defence strengthened and political security maintained.
Addressing the session, Mr.Liem spoke highly of the efforts by sectors and departments in the province over the past time while saying that they need to seriously carry out tasks, solutions under the instruction of the Government, Prime Minister, provincial Party Committee and People’s Council in the remaining 6 months of the year; organize dialogues with enterprises to deal with their queries, improve the local investment climate as well as managing the State budget as estimated…
