The province’s industrial index of production (IIP) in the first half of 2017 surged 8.53% compared to the same period last year. Of that amount, mining industry increased by 5.86%; processing-manufacturing industry by 8.58%; production and distribution of electricity, gas, hot water, steam and air conditioners by 10.88%; water supply, sewage and waste treatment by 1.58%.
In June alone, the local IIP surged 7.59%% and 15.97% compared to the previous month and the same period last year, in which mining industry grew by 5.88% and 6.77% compared to the previous month and the same period; processing-manufacturing industry by 7.64% and 16.19% against the previous month and the same period; production and distribution of electricity, gas, hot water, steam and air conditioners by 4.14% and 9.86% over the previous month and the same period; water supply, sewage and waste treatment by 5.32% and 3.67% compared to the previous month and the same period.
Also over the past six months, 20 out of 26 of the province’s main industrial products reached growth in comparison with the same period last year.
