Possibly speaking, the province has absolutely tapped internal and external forces for socio-economic development, especially in industrial manufacture. The province’s annual index of industrial production (IIP) in recent years has surged more than 10%. Currently, the proportion of industrial manufacture accounts for 63.99% of the local economic structure. The province’s industrial production value occupies 13% of the country’s total production value.
According to provincial People’s Committee, the province’s industrial manufacture in 2017 continued obtaining stable development. The province’s IIP continued reaching impressive growth at 10.98%. In the first eight months of 2018, the province’s industrial manufacture still obtained good growth and continued showing its major role in the local socio-economic development.
Noticeably, most projects making investment in the province over the past focused on processing and manufacturing sector. This is in line with the local orientation in the shift of economic structure during the journey of becoming a top locality of the southeastern region in industrial manufacture.
In-depth development
Under provincial Party Committee’s Program No.34-Ctr/TU dated December 15, 2016 on improving investment attraction for the period of 2016-2020. Accordingly, the province will further absorb projects in terms of trade-services, urban development, hi-tech agriculture…that are environmentally friendly and capable of making great contributions to the local State budget.
The province has also focused on provincial Party Committee’s Program No.24-CTr/TU further developing hi-quality services for industrial manufacture and urban development for the period of 2016-2020 and provincial People’s Committee’s plans for socio-economic development towards sustainable development.
Over the past time, the province gave priority to absorbing hi-tech projects, especially large-scale ones for industrial, urban and hi-tech service development. Most FDI projects focused on industrial manufacture. This helped the local industrial manufacture reach in-depth development, creating a motivation for urban, trade-service development.
The province will further strengthen industrial manufacture, deserving to be a major economic sector with development in the right orientation. Tran Thanh Liem, Vice-Secretary of provincial Party Committee, Chairman of provincial People’s Committee said that Binh Duong will continue well realizing a project on restructuring of industrial manufacture and a plan on cleaner production in this field. In addition, businesses need to effectively use material resources, protect and improve the quality of environment, ensuring sustainable development.
He added that for industrial manufacture getting in-depth development, the province will further give priority to auxiliary and spearheading industries and improve the rate of localization for industrial products. The province will also set up a plan on changing the use of southern industrial compounds and parks in line with the province’s plan on urban and service development. Especially, the province will focus on developing industrial parks as planned.
Possibly speaking, over the past 20 years, the province’s Party, government and people upheld their consensus in carrying out the set targets, promoting the local industrial manufacture. This will be the premise for the local industrial manufacture to further fly.
