In the 2016-2020 period, the province has attached special importance to upgrading the local urban technical infrastructure system at requirements for the local common development, bringing it a spacious urban image. Along with the highway 13 connecting Binh Duong with localities in the region, promoting industrial parks in the northern region of the province, the My Phuoc-Tan Van expressway plays a role in connecting Binh Duong with sea ports, international airports in line with the region’s overall development plan, helping traffic connectivity being implemented quickly and effectively. The province has absorbed many large-scale logistics projects, namely IDC Tan Cang-Song Than, U&I…The province has also attached special importance to making investment in the local water drainage systems with a series of projects, namely Bung Biep-Cat stream, Chom Sao-Don stream, Ba Bo canal, Cat stream, Giua stream…, that have upheld their effectiveness. So far, there have been 99.62% of city-dwellers in use of clean water. The figure is 99% in the southern key economic zone in 2020.
Under its plan on housing development for the 2016-2020 period, the province has till now had a total of 288 projects being implemented, thereby contributing to improving the rate of urban-level streets and creating an urban image in line with urban classification.

The province has also focused on social infrastructure investment. Province-based educational facilities at all levels have continued receiving new investment. During the 2016-2020 period, the province has attached special importance to building and absorbing medical projects, including the 1,500-bed hospital, Hanh Phuc international hospital, Colombia hospital, Becamex international hospital, Hoan Hao hospital…
The province has also successfully absorbed many investment projects in trade-services in association with urban development with focus on TDM, Di An, Thuan An cities and Ben Cat town. The whole province is now home to 106 traditional markets, 11 supermarkets and 3 trade centers. Especially, provincial People’s Committee held a ceremony to announce the development of the World Trade Centre Binh Duong New City (WTC BDNC). The province’s urban areas have a total of 44 urban-level cultural works. Along with public cultural works, there are many cultural works invested by enterprises and individuals.
All the above projects, works have contributed to bringing the province a spacious, modern urban image while helping it become one of the country’s top localities in economic development.
