Welcoming METI delegation’s working visit, Tran Thanh Liem briefed the guests on local socio-economic development and investment attraction from Japanese businesses. He also revealed that to build Binh Duong into the central-run city by 2020, the province has focused on developing urban and industrial infrastructure facilities and public traffic network, etc. Accordingly, the provincial administration will build 5 metro routes. To implement this goal, Binh Duong has mobilized all sources. Therefore, the local administration hopes METI to help and give consultancies of urban and traffic infrastructure development to the locality.
At the working session, Mr. Takumi Onuma of METI said that the working visit’s purpose is to help the locality develop urban infrastructure and traffic projects, especially to pay attention to ODA capital supply for building power plant to offer energy to the province and Southern key economic zone.
After the visit, METI will report Japanese government on the visit’s contents and set out assistance plans in the coming time.
