Yesterday’s morning of December 20, at Thu Dau Mot University was a national workshop on the role of local management in sustainable development of the key Southern Economic Zone under co-organization of Thu Dau Mot University, Ho Chi Minh City of Social Sciences and Humanities, and Ho Chi Minh City Academy of Officials.
The workshop was a forum for scientists to announce, contribute and share their experience in researching the theories and reality of local management in aspects of administration, economics, society, education, and architecture planning. At the workshop, the policies of organizing and operating smart authority as one of the targets that Binh Duong Province is aiming for during the implementation of Binh Duong Smart City Construction Project.
Associate Professor, Doctor Hoang Trong Quyen, the Deputy President of Thu Dau Mot City informed that sustainable development is one of the leading targets of socio-economic development of the nation, of which, local management holds the major impact. The workshop offered oriented measures for local management by transforming the approach of local State’s management to local management in the key economic zone of the South and recommended to supplement knowledge of local management in training courses of some departments.
