Local policies and measures of industrial development proposed to Minister of Industry and Trade

Late April 4, Minister Vu Huy Hoang of Ministry of Industry and Trade had a working session with departments and sub-departments of the province together with leaders of Provincial People’s Committee, Department of Industry and Trade, and professional and commodity associations.Director Vo Van Cu of Department of Industry and Trade reported briefly on industrial and commercial development in 2012 and the first quarter of 2013 in Binh Duong Province. Accordingly, provincial GDP increased by 12.5% with industrial production value estimated at VND 140,660 billion or 14.2% of increment. The coverage ratio of 28 current industrial parks in the province is now 65% with foreign investment of USD 1.46 billion, creating jobs over 22,700. Total exporting revenue is estimated at USD 12.1 billion or 10.5% of the accounts. In the first quarter of 2013, local GDP increased by 7.6% and industrial value by 7.6%.Chair of Provincial People’s Committee, Mr. Le Thanh Cung has proposed to the visiting Minister of the promoting policies for industrial development supported by Decision No. 12/2011/QD-TTg dated February 24, 2011, Decree No. 45 dated May 21, 2012, and Decree No. 46 of the Ministry dated December 28, 2012.He called for more promoting actions while asking to stop investment into two 500kV power stations in the province.
