According to a report by provincial Department of Industry and Trade, the province’s total retail sales of commodities and services in the first half of 2016 reached more than VND70trillion, representing an increase of 21.3% compared to the corresponding period last year. Of these, the domestic investment sector reached a growth of 21.4% or 97.2% of total while the foreign investment sector rose by 15.8%.
The province saw stability in trade activities with abundant supply of commodities at locals’ demand for consumption. There was also a robust growth in transportation, restaurant and hotel services with total revenue of more than VND7.2trillion.
Also during the period, the price of essential goods in the province was always under control. Businesses participating in the price stabilization program of the province reached around VND639billion in total revenue, beyond 18% of the plan.
