A supervision delegation of provincial People’s Council, headed by Huynh Thanh Long, Member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice-Chairman of provincial People’s Council, yesterday had a working session with sectors and the People’s Committees of districts, towns and TDM city about the result of implementation of State administration work in the local field of science-technology between 2012 and 2014.
Reportedly, provincial Department of Science and Technology (DoST) carried out 25 new tasks on sci-tech research and development, checked and took over 77 tasks in this field, contributing to promoting the local socio-economic development. The Department also granted 1,708 certificates to individuals and collectives; boosted propaganda work to raise public awareness of the role of science and technology in the cause of industrialization and modernization…
Concluding the working session, Mr.Long said that the province’s sci-tech activities in the 2012-2014 period reached some positive results, contributing to promoting the local socio-economic development. He also suggested that provincial DoST needed to speed up propaganda work so that sectors and enterprises in the province could obviously realize the importance of science-technology in socio-economic development…
