On the spirit of instruction of the PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc at a conference implementing tasks of the sector’s science and technology (sci-tech) for 2018 just held, provincial Department of Sci-tech (DoST) will attach special importance to making research on technological innovation, creative business startup and support for enterprises this year.
Research-development activities promoted
According to experts, taking full advantage of the ongoing fourth industrial revolution to boost sci-tech research and transfer into fields is very favorable. Upon this, in 2018, the province will actively take solutions in order to improve the local capacity on getting access to advanced technologies while effectively tapping potentialities from the fourth industrial revolution.

Particularly, the province will boost business startup in the fields of training and enhancing capacity of parts in business startup ecosystem while creating the best conditions for business startup such as setting up a community initiative center, developing labs…
Actively advocating enterprises
The Government, ministries, sectors and provincial People’s Committee issued a variety of policies to sthengthen sci-tech development activities over the past time. But, there were still shortcomings for change.
For better development, provincial DoST will flexibly apply support policies for enterprises; advise provincial People’s Committee on promulgating support policies for small and medium-sized enterprises to innovate and apply high technologies; coordinate with the local tax sector and some other sectors to have specific guidance and explanation for the use of sci-tech development land fund…
Provincial DoST will also carry out the Program on intellectual property support development for the period of 2017-2020; the Project on improving the quality of products of small and medium-sized enterprises for the period of 2017-2020…, aiming to create favorable conditions for enterprises to innovate and apply sci-tech advancements into production for better quality and competitiveness.
