Local sector of industry-trade makes efforts to well manage industrial manufacture

Over the past time, provincial Department of Industry and Trade made efforts in State administration for industrial manufacture, contributing to promoting this field.

Excelling at advisory work

The whole province is now home to 12 industrial compounds (ICs) of 789.9 hectares, including 10 in operation with 648.29 hectares in total with the rate of land tenancy at around 67.4%. Among them, there are 4, namely Binh Chuan, An Thanh, Tan Dong Hiep and Thanh Pho Dep, fully covered by investors. This result came from the efforts by the local sector of industry and trade in developing industrial manufacture, managing and zoning ICs logically.

Leaders of provincial DoIT learn about the operation of a company in the province

Since early this year, provincial Department of Industry and Trade (DoIT) has advised provincial People’s Committee on acceptance of a policy implementing the process of agreement with the Ministry of Industry and Trade to supplement the planning of establishing Tam Lap 2 IC; guided the People’s Committees of Thuan An town and Di An town to eliminate 3 ICs from the plan…Provincial DoIT has also advised provincial People’s Committee on promulgating the Decision No.149/QD-UBND on the establishment of Thanh An IC and the Decision No.260/QD-UBND on the establishment of Tan Thanh IC; submitted projects on the establishment of Phuoc Hoa IC, Tam Lap ICs 3, 4…into provincial People’s Committee.

Provincial DOIT has strengthened the implementation of projects on enhancing the rate of localization and the content of technology in main export products and support services to 2025, orientations to 2030; calling for investment in industrial manufacture-trade; promoting the province’s woodwork processing sector to 2025, orientations to 2030…

In the coming time, provincial DoIT will further make efforts to well realize the resolutions, programs, plans of the Government, the Ministry of Industry-Trade, provincial Party Committee, People’s Council and People’s Committee; advise provincial People’s Committee on issuing a plan on the implementation of groups of concrete management solutions in the face of the complicated development of the world’s economy.

Making efforts to ensure production safety

Provincial DoIT has also well realized control over chemicals, industrial explosive materials, labor hygiene safety and fire-explosive prevention.

So far, the whole province has had more than 250 enterprises on chemical industry, 150 enterprises making chemicals and thousands of enterprises using chemicals for production-business. This is one of industries with high risk for environmental pollution. Hence, leaders of provincial DoIT have always attached special importance to management over chemical production and business.

Since early this year, provincial DoIT has coordinated with provincial anti-fire police force to make inspection tours at 76 petrol  stations, 11 gas-trading enterprises and 28 chemicals-using ones. Provincial DoIT has also suggested the People’s Committees of districts, towns and TDM city to instruct their Divisions of Economics to make inspection on fire fighting and prevention at facilities trading in petrol and chemicals…

In the coming time, provincial DoIT will further coordinate with functional agencies to tighten control over fire fighting and prevention at petrol, gas stations; organize a provincial-level drill against chemical incidents; work with the People’s Committees of districts, towns and TDM city to handle chemicals-trading stores that do not meet conditions on safety; advise provincial People’s Committee on promulgating a joint regulation on chemical management in the province…
