“Potentials, advantages Binh Duong logistics and the role of Customs" is the seminar’s topic held by Binh Duong Customs Department in collaboration with Vietnam Logistics Magazine at ICD Tan Cang Song Than on Jun 30. Mr. Tran Thanh Liem, Deputy Chairman of PPC, and heads of agencies, sectors, scientists, managers, logistics enterprises in and outside the province took part in the seminar.
Arguments at the seminar showed logistics potentials of Binh Duong province in general and of the southern key economic zone in particular were huge. The rapid but stable development pace plus open policies, the attention, support of provincial leadership and agencies is an opportunity for provincial socio-economic in general and logistic sector in particular to grow. However, the competitiveness ability of enterprises is still limited in terms of management capacity, performance in the value-added chain.
In the future, Binh Duong province will establish a large-scale logistic center in accordance with the Government’s approval; enhance the connectivity between roads, routes to seaports, airports to reduce costs, increase competitiveness of businesses in the logistic chain. In particular, human resource is an important factor to gain efficiency and competitiveness of the logistic activities…
Speaking at the seminar, PPC’s Deputy Chairman Mr. Tran Thanh Liem said, although compared to other provinces in the region, Binh Duong did not have airports and seaports, provincial potentials are huge. Ghenh Bridge and Binh Loi Bridge’s height will be increased, facilitating provincial logistics.
