After nearly 4 years of efforts of building new rural areas, Long Tan commune in Dau Tieng has thus far completed 19 out of 19 criteria of new rural building.

Developing synchronous traffic network
Running on wide and asphalted roads along to the commune, we realize positive changes in Long Tan commune’s countryside. Roads are built widely, creating advantages for local people and students.
At present, inter-communal roads in Long Tan commune are asphalted with the total length of 67.2km, winning 100% of plan, 15.3km of which are controlled by the provincial administration and 43.2km are managed by the commune administration.
Especially, local people’s average income reaches VND34mil per capita in the year of 2014. Besides, the commune reaches 99.76% of electricity using households, 95% of households enjoy wide houses.
Based on consideration of survey in this year, the locality has 15 poor households, accounting for 0.9% and 43 sub-poor families, amounting for 2.59%.
According to the commune People’s Committee’s leaders, the local administration considers traffic system as one of key criteria playing a key role in building new rural areas successfully. However, implementing this goal was not easy. The locality faced many obstacles of capital, site clearance and more. With determination of agencies and awareness of local residents, new rural building reaches remarkable results.
Aside from sources from the State, local people’s contributions help reach success in the program of new rural building. Accordingly, local residents donated their land and asset to complete this program.
Besides, local political system are perfected and ensured quantity and quality while communal cadres have enough capacity to manage and lead their political tasks.
Improving local residents’ life
With the area of 5,498.55ha and industrial-styled breeding farms, Long Tan commune solved jobs for 3,775 rural laborers. The local people’s life is improved significantly with the income of VND33.5mil per capita per year.
In addition, capital mobilization from local people reached positive changes. Local inhabitants are aware of their rights and obligations in making rural roads.
Long Tan commune People’s Committee said that the total capital of local project of new rural building is at VND249.359mil. in order to complete the program, the commune received attention from the district People’s Committee, party committee and people.
Especially, hi-unity from local residents contributed to finalize the approved criteria of the new rural building project.
