Part 1: Initial results of a project beneficial to country and people
Initiated by provincial leaders’ thought to enhance the position of Binh Duong for industrialization and modernization process, the Government has allowed Binh Duong to set up an industry-urban-service complex with 4,196 hectares in total. After eight years of development, Binh Duong Industry-Urban-Service Complex invested by Becamex IDC has brought initial results.
Breakthrough from complex
With a total area of 4,196 hectares,
Binh Buong Industry-Urban-Service Complex is planned scientifically and
modernly, of which 2,000ha of land is for clean industry development, 1,000 ha
for hi-grade urban area and the remaining area for fields of service, trade and
so on. Along key streets is numerous works getting underway. 
A glance of Binh Duong Industry-Service-Urban Complex
Apart from major projects of investor Becamex IDC, secondary investors have also hastened their projects. To say, Binh Duong Import-Export and Production Company (Potrade) has hastened the progress of a service project; Binh Duong new city, which is considered as a ‘brain’ and ‘heart’ of the entire complex, has also reached fast growth…
VSIP II, Dong An II IP, Song Than III IP, Dai Dang IP, Kim Huy IP and so on have focused on building infrastructure facilities and urged investors. The most highlighted is VSIP II reaching nearly 100% of land under tenancy with nearly 130 projects, capitalized at over US$1bln. Notably, the VSIP II has attracted the investment of Mapletree Corp. that has so far put a hi-tech industrial park, capitalized at US$400mil into operation in the complex-based Binh Duong New City with a total area of 75ha.
Next to VSIP II is Dong An II IP with a total area of 157ha under construction. The IP has lured nearly 20 projects, capitalized at nearly US$30mln. Not far from the 2 IPs, Dai Dang IP is also completing final steps of construction and it has so far absorbed many investment projects.
Project beneficial to country and people
Binh Duong Industry-Urban-Service Complex will be soon a very important area for the local industrialization and modernization and even the country. Along with industrial urban areas of Thuan An, Di An, Tan Uyen, Ben Cat…, the complex will highlight a flexible economic hub in the southern key economic zone. This will be the most attractive destination for investors.
On the other hand, the complex’s impression of socialization will occur when universities, vocational training centers, hospitals, plazas, supermarkets, banks, office buildings…are formed up. The industrial models will be also developed with many integral efforts to manufacture high added value products.
The complex has brought initial results, paying way for the local socio-economic development. The faith and expectation of Binh Duong’s Party and people on the complex is coming true.
Possibly speaking, the complex’s initial results have created a highlight for Binh Duong’s industrialization and modernization process. This is also a project with the country’s leading size, contributing to making a driving force for socio-economic sustainable development.
