To supply enough vegetables on Tet holidays, since lunar September, many local farmers have started sowing, planting crops. Currently, farmers are taking good care of planted crops to harvest on Tet holidays.
According to provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, supplied vegetables for Tet holidays are planted mainly in specializing areas, such as: Thanh Phuoc ward, Thai Hoa ward, Thanh Hoi commune (Tan Uyen town), Tuong Binh Hiep ward, Hiep An ward (TDM City), Tan Dinh ward (Ben Cat town)…
In the end of the year, after harvesting previous crops, farmers will continue to reclaim soil for the next sowing. Farmers usually rotate crops to eliminate pesticide and utilize fertilizer stored in the soil.
