Patience, laboriousness, motivation and tech-sci application into breeding is a successful secret of Nguyen Thi Yen in An Dien commune, Ben Cat town. From this concerted breeding model, she reaps more than VND700mn per year, helping her become one of 10 typical examples in the movement of good farmers in production and breeding of the provincial Farmers’ Society and being honored at the conference held on the 40th anniversary of the Southern liberation and national unification day.
An Dien commune-based local residents know about Mrs. Yen. Her success is thanks to the concerted breeding model that has been applied for more than 20 years.
Her breeding and planting model now has 20,000 chickens, 117 buffaloes, 2 mother pigs and 20 ha of rubber tree. With experience accumulated during the past years, her family’s production and breeding always gains stability and efficiency. On average, her family reaps about VND500-700mn per year.
Thanks to determination, she enjoyed assistance of local authority, relatives and friends, so difficulties in the initial period passed rapidly. After many years of gaining success in this concerted breeding model, she has accumulated real experience, especially selection of breeding and farm hygiene. “In order to gain success in the model, it is essential to grasp and apply tech methods into production, timely and effectively treat disadvantaged circumstances as well as well invest in infrastructure facility, Yen shared.
At present, her 5 chicken farms with 20,000 chickens have been invested food and drinking water system automatically.
In terms of rubber plantation, her family has planted rubber since 1990, bringing a stable income for her family.
After more than 20 years of effort, Yen has reached success in homebased economic development, improving her family’s living standard, contributing to local economic growth. Besides, with the large scale of breeding and cultivation, her family has placed stable jobs for nearly 20 laborers with income of about VND4mn per capita per month. In addition, she joins positively in social activities. Annually, she spends about VND30-40mn to help the poor across localities.
