Earlier, Long specialized in breeding frog in 2012. After hearing about Ptyas Mucosus breeding’s high profit, he arrived at Tay Ninh province to buy several snakes for his trial breeding.
In the past, he faced many difficulties and failures, owing to shortage of experience and information. Afterwards, he himself has learnt about ways of breeding and now he grasps techniques and reaches successes.
With the initial capital of only VND30mil, Long’s 30sqm snake farm has earned over VND80mil in profit in the first year.
He added that sometimes this snake is priced at over VND1mil per kg and its egg is priced at VND270,000 per egg. At present, this animal is priced at VND700,000 per kg. According to Long, this price remains high income for breeders.
He added that to win success in breeding this kind of snake, breeders must be diligent in cleaning cages. This snake’s main food includes frog, toad, etc. He will expand his farm in the coming time and willingly share his experiences for others.
