More and more gardens of growing nursling rubber trees have appeared across Binh Duong province’s Northern districts such Phu Giao, Dau Tieng and Tan Uyen.
The gardens’ owners take advantaged of empty land areas in their courts to create nursling rubber gardens. Development of rubber areas across the districts is the main reason for appearing the cultivation.
Nursling rubber growers can buy seeds at rubber seed agents or collect seeds at rubber plantations. However, in recent years, price of rubber seeds has increased sharply with over 20,000 per kg.
At present, there are 2 ways of planting nursling rubber trees. They include growing rubber seeds in nylon pags and in land. After about 9-10 months, nursling rubber trees will be sold after 20 days of grafting.
Price of nursling rubber trees now ranges from VND6,000-18,000 per tree. Mr.Thuan who has many experiences in growing nursling rubber trees at Phu Giao district’s Phuoc Sang commune, said “Cultivation of nursling rubber trees is relatively easy. The work’s income source can increase many times from other farming jobs, if the weather is good”. Thuan is now planting one ha of nursling rubber trees. If the weather is good, he can earn over VND100mil per year.
This is a simple and little startup capital job, so many farmers have enjoyed a comfortable life. The nursling rubber gardens’ owners said that demand on nursling rubber trees will increase sharply, so nursling rubber tree growers will enjoy a stable job in the future.
