On March 24, Binh Duong Provincial People's Committee in collaboration with Embassy of Vietnam in Germany, the German Business Association in Vietnam, and Becamex IDC Corporation held a video conference to promote German investment in Binh Duong with the theme "Post-Covid – Enterprises in a New Normal State – Investment and Business Potential in Binh Duong Province".
The video conference in Binh Duong had the participation of Le Phu Hoa, Director of the Provincial Department of Foreign Affairs; Nguyen Hoang Vu, Deputy General Director of Becamex IDC Corporation; leaders of provincial departments and branches. The conference in German had the participation of Vu Quang Minh, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Vietnam in Germany; Graf Westarp, Director of External Relations of the Business Association in Germany.
Binh Duong has always been rated as one of the leading provinces and cities in the country in terms of socio-economic development, industrial development and foreign direct investment (FDI) attraction. Binh Duong is the second largest locality in the country in terms of foreign investment attraction (after Ho Chi Minh City), with a total of 4,040 investment projects from 65 territories and countries with a total registered capital of more than US$39.4 billion. In particular, Germany has invested 18 projects in the province with a total registered capital of more than US$50 million.
At the conference, delegates discussed some topics, such as investment and trade cooperation between Vietnam and Germany; new normal condition and opportunities for investment and trade activities; Binh Duong - a potential place for trade and investment; share the facts from German investors. Representatives of Becamex IDC Corporation and provincial departments informed German partners about investment attraction policies, business environment, investment incentives, large projects and cooperation potential in the province.
Currently, Binh Duong is accelerating the construction of the Science and Technology Industrial Park and Binh Duong New City World Trade Center; building transport infrastructure connecting regions, logistics service system, training high-quality labor resources... Binh Duong also pledged to open up many new investment opportunities for German businesses in the province, especially in fields where Germany has strengths such as infrastructure construction, high technology, renewable energy, education, healthcare, environment...
Concluding the conference, Le Phu Hoa said that Binh Duong province is constantly improving the investment environment, improving competitiveness and strengthening support for the development of investors in the province through the improvement of the socio-economic infrastructure system. Leaders of provinces, departments and branches of the province strive to create all favorable conditions, promptly solve difficulties and obstacles for investors and businesses, including partners from Germany to operate production and business effectively.
