Model of growing clean vegetables at Thu Dau Mot city is successfully applied by many farmers.
In the past year, the local work on scientific research reached many remarkable results. One of the important activities lies in launching of advanced application of science and technology into agriculture, breeding and farming, contributing to improve quality and competition of farm products.
Promoting results
Applying technical advances into planting Taiwan guava in Bau Bang district is one of topics under efficiency, helping tens of households improve income and escape poverty.
Nguyen Thi Be in Tru Van Tho commune said that thanks to knowledge dissemination, bridge make-up with enterprises of the provincial department of Science and Technology, local guava growers enjoy a stable life. Be annually reaps more than VND100mil from planting this kind of fruit.
According to Le Thi Truc Quynh, vice head of Science and Technology Application Office under the provincial department of Science and Technology, in 2013 and 2014 the department built and launched application of technical advances into planting Taiwan guava for local farmers, helping local farmers shift agricultural production structure. Until now, this project has promoted its efficiency. As a result, more than 20 households involving in the project enjoy a stable life.
Apart from the model of planting Taiwan guava, the provincial department of Science and Technology in the past year initiated the model of applying advanced techniques into growing clean vegetables in Thu Dau Mot city and Di An town, the model of applying and transferring technology of safe vegetable production on VietGAP standard in Thanh Hoi commune, Tan Uyen town, the project of applying advances into grapefruit in Hieu Liem commune, North Tan Uyen district and so on.
These models have been implemented in right processes by farmers and their products have been guaranteed by enterprises.
Aside from topics and models of applying into agricultural field, the entire province in 2014 finalized take-over of more than 60 topics and projects relating to industry and environment areas.
Facilitating topics’ real life application
Thuong Van Hieu, director of the provincial department of Science and Technology assessed that topics of science research and technology development have upheld economic efficiency, applying well into management, production and living. These achievements are thanks to inspection, acceleration and timely implementation of the department.
Thuong Van Hieu added that the local administration will focus on technology and industry fields to support enterprises develop sustainably.
Topics with new design, pattern, energy thrift or technology renovation, advanced production line improving productivity will be given priorities.
Specifically, topics of manufacturing machines, facilities serving for industrial production in replace of import products in conformity with domestic conditions will be put top priorities. Additionally, the local authority will pay much attention to topics relating to agricultural production in a bid to improve new technique measures in conformity with local natural conditions.
