Market-day of “bringing Vietnamese goods to countryside” for Tet gets animated

The Center for Trade Promotion and Economic Information under provincial Department of Industry and Trade has just successfully organized a market-day of “bringing Vietnamese goods to countryside” for Tet in Phu Giao district’s Long Tan commune. At the market-day, participating enterprises launched many promotional programs and locals had a chance to buy hi-quality commodities with reasonable price.

Participating enterprises

According to the Center for Trade Promotion and Economic Information under provincial Department of Industry and Trade, there was an increase in the number of participating enterprises at the market-day of “bringing Vietnamese goods to countryside” in Tan Long commune.

Particularly, the market-day lured 24 participating enterprises with 60 pavilions displaying a wide range of products, comprising of electrical-machinery appliances, foodstuff, consumer goods…

Tran Thi Suong, Director of Minh Suong Company said: “We have brought the market-day beautiful products with cheap price…”. Meanwhile, Vu Van Tin, Head of Co.opMart’s  said: “We have selected suitable products together with price-subsidized ones to serve people in Tan Long commune on Tet”.

For the market-day organized successfully, the organizers and the local government excelled at maintaining order and security, arranging booths and tightening control over the quality and price of goods. This helped the local customers buy products in line with their demand and financial capacity.

Nguyen Thi Tuyet Trinh, Director of the Center for Trade Promotion and Economic said: “We have selected prestigious enterprises with obviously listed price and diversification of kinds of goods. We have also organized variety shows and mobilized participating enterprises to present gifts worth VND400,000 each to 30 poor households while ensuring environmental hygiene for participating enterprises…”.

Hoping to have additional market-days

Thanks to good preparation plus some other reasons, the market-day of “bringing Vietnamese goods to countryside” in Tan Long got crowded with visitors.

Having a chance to buy hi-quality products with cheap price at the market-day was seen as a great joy for poor households. Le Thi Lam, a poor resident in the commune said: “We came to the market-day early in the morning in order to receive gifts from the organizers. Thanks to donors’ attention and help, the lives of my family and other poor families herein were improved over past time, especially on Tet”.

According to Nguyen Anh Dung, Secretary of Tan Long communal Party Committee cum Chairman of the communal People’s Committee, Tan Long has risen up out of poverty from recent 5 to 6 years and was recognized as a new rural commune in 2014. The local people like “bringing Vietnamese goods to countryside” market-days very much and they hope that there will be additional such market-days in the coming time.

The market-day’s total turnover was estimated at more than VND500mln. In 2015, the center is expected to further organize 10 “bringing Vietnamese goods to countryside” market-days. Three such market-says will be organized from now till the 2015 Tet festival. The center will also try its best to successfully organize each market-day, contributing to the success of the “Bringing Vietnamese goods to countryside” program.
