Since late July, parents and students are eager to prepare for the new school year. Students will start their new school year on Aug. 9.
Diversification of learning aids
Grasping demand for the new school year, bookstores supplement a large quantity of books, notebooks and learning aids. Meeting demand of teachers and students, Book and Education Facility Company imported 1.3 million of textbooks.
Young clients for the market have so far had many choices with countless products and types. For examples, notebooks have many kinds of brands such as Fahasa, Hoa Binh, Phuong Nam, Tan Yen Phat and so on with prices from VND3,800-7,700 per unit.
On surveys, most of notebooks are domestically made products whilst learning aids are mainly imported from Thailand, China and so on.
Meanwhile, schoolbags are in similar situation with numerous brands of Mr.Vui, Miti, Polo pricing at VND60,000-150,000 per unit.
Stable price
Prior to the new school year, market for learning aids has become lively but prices are in stability. Mrs. Kim Sang in downtown said a pair of cloth shoe was at VND45,000 several months ago, it now increases lightly.
Annually, entering the new school year season, promotion programs are launched to lure more clients. Bookstores now give a 5-10% discount for textbook products.
Uniform for students
Along with learning aids for students, uniform for students is also an indispensable product in the new school year. Uniform for students are mainly domestically made products with numerous styles and proper prices.
Ao dai is the traditional clothe of almost schools. Ready-to-wear Ao dai price at VND80,000-200,000 per unit.
