Efforts
Provincial Department of Industry and Trade has over time teamed up with sectors, localities and businesses to quickly realize the province’s price stabilization progra under the instruction of provincial People’s Committee.
Customers selecting commodities at province-based Co.opMart
Particularly, province-based supermarkets, namely Vinatex, CityMart, Co.opMart…, have seriously made the selling of prize-stabilized commodities. They have also planned to organize monthly outlets for prize-stabilized commodities in rural areas and industrial parks of the province.
Becamex Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company has been assigned to supply medicine for 70 agents and 7 drug stores at hospitals across the province. Whilst, units under provincial Department of Education and Training has been responsible for supplying textbooks, notebooks and learning tools in many places of Ben Cat, Tan Uyen, Phu Giao, Dau Tieng districts at prices that are 10%, 12% and 15% lower than market prices, respectively.
Tightening control over market prices
To achieve the target of keeping inflation rate at 15%-17%, the Government’s PM has just sent Telegram No.1120/CD-TTg asking for ministries, sectors and localities to urgently implement key tasks.
Particularly, they include tightening control over local market, prices; instructing functional agencies to drastically make inspection of local market, prices to avoid the speculation and hoarding of goods; making favorable conditions for businesses, organizations and individuals to boost the production and trading of essential commodities, especially food and foodstuff …
Ministries, sectors and localities have also been required to map out suitable measures to encourage businesses, organizations and individuals to actively respond to the Government’s policy to curb inflation, stabilize the marco-economy and ensure social welfare; further keep watch over the development of domestic and international markets to timley promulgate suitable tax policies and have measures to stabilize domestic market and avoid the unexpected price hikes for essential commodities; severely deal with violations relating to prices…
