Master plan for Di An city announced and investment promotion launched

Early April 22, Di An city’s Party Committee held a ceremony to announce the city’s master plan and promote investment. The event was attended by Nguyen Van Loc, Member of provincial Party Standing Committee and Chairman of provincial People's Council; Truong Thi Bich Hanh, Member of provincial Party Standing Committee and Secretary of Di An city’s Party Committee; Bui Minh Thanh, Vice Chairman of provincial People’s Committee, along with representatives of domestic and international enterprises.

At the event, leaders of provincial Department of Construction announced provincial People’s Committee’s decision approving the overall adjustment of Di An city’s Master Plan at a scale of 1:10,000, with a vision to 2045. Under the plan, Di An city is oriented to become a service – education – industry-oriented urban area, a university urban hub and a regional traffic hub. The city’s industrial development will focus on high-tech industries. In terms of spatial planning, Di An will be divided into three development zones and five key areas. There are 32 urban development sites planned for investment promotion until 2045, about 10 of which are designed to follow the Transit-Oriented Development (TOD) model.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Thanh emphasized that the new master plan clearly identifies fresh drivers for socio-economic development. The five main development areas are structured around a well-connected, modern infrastructure framework, particularly focusing on rail and road traffic systems. Di An city’s Master Plan, along with other plans such as provincial Plan for 2021–2030 with a vision to 2050, will be considered for appropriate adjustments and integration in line with the new administrative structure and development space. Previous plans will be inherited, promoted and further developed. Therefore, Di An city continues identifying the implementation of the planning as an important task and strives to carry it out with the highest sense of responsibility to achieve the best results.

On this occasion, the city also launched an investment promotion campaign, calling for businesses to invest in the fields approved by the province.
