On July 20th, Mr. Tran Van Nam, Chairman of PPC, chaired the meeting on the implementation of Directive No 11/2012/CT-UBND regarding enhancement of State management in minerals exploration, exploitation, processing, and use in the province. Representatives of departments, sectors, and localities attended the meeting.

Minerals exploitation in Binh Duong has happened complicatedly at 43 mines dispersing in localities. The province granted 48 licenses for minerals exploitation of rock (29), lightning (16), sand (3). Most of mines have not been fully exploited, causing lot difficulties in the management as well as environmental impacts.
Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Tran Van Nam stressed, the province would tighten management of mineral resources, assign communes, wards to directly manage mineral mines. All mining work must guarantee people’s safety and interests, environmental protection…
