Ministry of Planning and Investment works on site survey of FDI in Binh Duong Province

Early September 11, a surveying team of Ministry of Planning and Investment led by Mr. Dang Xuan Quang, Deputy Head of Foreign Investment Department had a working session with Provincial Department of Planning and Investment on FDI in Binh Duong Province.As reported by the Department, Binh Duong Province attracted 2,093 effective FDI projects from 36 nations and territories at registered capital of USD 17.120 billion, holding the 4th position nation wide.Of the FDI sources in Binh Duong Province, the industry is accounted for 92.75% of quantity and 71.5% of capital. Up to date, majority of FDI projects in the locality have been allocated into industrial parks and clusters to concentrate on industrial production in line with planning and with environment protection requirements.FDI plays more and more active role in promoting provincial socio-economy. In 2011, the FDI sector has contributed 34.22% of GDP, submitted to the budget over USD 183 million, and created jobs to 461,000 workers.At the working session, Deputy Director of Foreign Investment Department, Mr. Dang Xuan Quang highly appreciated FDI luring of Binh Duong Province.
