Multiplying exemplary models of the "Excellent and Creative Labor" Emulation

In 2024, the "Excellent and Creative Labor" emulation continues to be extensively implemented by the provincial Trade Union, reaching officials, public servants, employees, and workers across the province. As a result, 3,203 initiatives were recognized throughout the year, generating over 400 billion VND in economic benefits.

Numerous Initiatives yielding billions of VND in benefits

Among the 3,203 recognized initiatives in 2024, 10 were particularly notable, each generating economic benefits exceeding 5 billion VND annually. A prime example is Mrs. Nguyen Thi Tam, Deputy Manager of Quality Management at Thien Nam Investment and Development Corporation. With 15 years of dedication to the company, she has consistently excelled in her duties, ensuring productivity and quality in production processes. Mrs. Tam is also an active union member, effectively participating in and implementing emulations initiated by the company and the grassroots trade union. In 2024, she was commended by the company’s management for her significant and effective contributions to process improvements.

Provincial leaders and the provincial Trade Union awarded certificates of merit to individuals recognized for "Excellent and Creative Labor" in 2024.

Through her initiative to optimize the loading of export goods into containers by modifying packaging methods and container loading arrangements, Mrs. Tam introduced the most efficient packaging and loading methods. This saved 19 million VND per container, equivalent to 570 million VND per month and over 6.8 billion VND annually. Her second initiative involved reducing raw material waste by using machines to remove foreign fibers, saving approximately 30 million VND per ton of fiber, amounting to an annual savings of 2.1 billion VND for the company.

Recently, during a ceremony where she was honored by the provincial People’s Committee for her outstanding achievements in the "Excellent and Creative Labor" emulation across the province in 2024, Mrs. Nguyen Thi Tam shared: "I believe that innovation in workplace production at enterprises is no longer just a matter of movements or emulation. Workers in enterprises or any organization must strive daily, continuously learning and innovating to achieve the highest efficiency. At our company, we set monthly and quarterly emulation goals. Innovations and creativity must align with the work of each employee."

Similarly, Mrs. Le Ha Thanh Ngan, a planning and defect management staff member at Procter Co., Ltd., contributed with her initiative titled "Proposing Solutions and Ideas in Quality Alerts, Defect Management, and Disposal Processes." This initiative reduced defective products requiring disposal at the factory by 50% in 2024, generating economic benefits of approximately 5 billion VND annually for the company.

Mr. Nguyen Tan Duc, a production supervisor at Nitto Denko (Vietnam) Co., Ltd., has been with the company for over 20 years. His cost-saving initiative in the CL processing stage was highly praised by the company’s management and recognized at the end of 2024. Mr. Đức explained that the CL stamping process previously required outsourcing, incurring significant costs. Through his research and improvements, the company now saves over 3 billion VND annually in production costs.

Timely recognition and commendation

According to Mrs. Nguyen Hoang Bao Tran, Vice Chairwoman of the provincial Trade Union, in recent years, officials, public servants, employees, and workers in the province have continuously strived to excel in the "Excellent and Creative Labor" emulation, aiming to fulfill their tasks to the highest standards. Enterprises, agencies, and organizations have promptly identified, nurtured, honored, rewarded, and publicized exemplary individuals, innovative models, and effective practices to expand and create widespread impact.

To further strengthen the emulation, the provincial Trade Union annually collaborates with local agencies, organizations, and enterprises to intensify the promotion of the "Excellent and Creative Labor" movement among grassroots trade unions, union members, and workers. This enables each enterprise to develop its unique approach, maximizing the innovative and creative potential of workers to achieve the highest efficiency in labor and production.

Mrs. Pham Thi Duyen, Vice Chairwoman of the grassroots trade union at Far Eastern Apparel Co., Ltd. (VSIP Industrial Park, Thuan An City), where over 4,000 workers are employed, shared that the company organizes skill competitions every three months for its workers. After each competition, workers gain additional experience and receive salary increases upon meeting the company’s skill requirements. As a result, employees continuously strive to improve their skills and develop their own innovations in daily tasks. "Outstanding initiatives are recognized, widely implemented, and promptly rewarded," Mrs. Pham Thi Duyen stated.

In the meantime, to promptly commend and promote the movement of workers participating in initiatives, the provincial Trade Union regularly collaborates with grassroots trade unions to review individuals and enterprises with exemplary and outstanding initiatives throughout the year to recommend them for certificates of merit from the provincial People's Committee. In 2024, the provincial People's Committee awarded certificates of merit to 183 individuals for their most optimal initiatives and innovations in implementing the movement "Excellent and Creative labor" across the province.
