As a center of Ben Cat district, My Phuoc township has reached a robust growth in the trade-service sectors. Along with industrial manufacture, trade-service sectors are creating a driving force for the township’s breakthroughs.
My Phuoc township now has 2,150.8 hectares of natural land and more than 4,000 households with more than 54,000 people, including more than 25,000 with temporary residence. The proportion of trade-service accounts for around 30% of the local economic structure; industrial manufacture, 65% and agricultural production, 5%.
The township is a political,
economic and cultural hub of Ben Cat district and is also one of the province’s
townships with trade-service sectors reaching the most rapid growth. Nguyen
Thanh Phong, Chairman of My Phuoc township’s People’s Committee said that the
township has always maintained a stable growth in the trade-service sectors. 
My Phuoc township gets more spacious and modern
There are now 50% of the local households (or 2,000 households) with many different business scopes. Noticeably, lodging business has loomed large across the township with more than 1,125 lodging facilities, including 13,554 rooms, to cater accommodations for more than 25,000 workers.
It is very easy to see a crowded picture in the trade-service sectors in My Phuoc township. Vinatex has so far built 2 supermarkets and 1 traditional markets in the township. Currently, there are also 5 mini-supermarkets under Mini Number One Chain invested by Beamex ISC…In addition to the development of retail sales services, many banks, namely An Binh, Eximban, Kien Long, MHB… have so far opened their branches in the township. Hotels and restaurants have also loomed large across the township.
Realizing the potential of My Phuoc, Le Van Hung, an entrepreneur from HCM city has got involved in hotel services herein since 2008. Till now, he has built 2 hotels with nearly 40 rooms. His business is now very stable as My Phuoc township is on the way of development with economic exchange from many investors.
Industrial manufacture has promoted the strong development of trade-service sectors in My Phuoc township, contributing to improving the local image and people’s lives. The whole townships is now home to 14 enterprises, including 124 FDI enterprises and 40 domestic ones. So far, 120 factories have been put into operation with more than 35,000 laborers in the My Phuoc 1 and 2 Industrial Parks.
According to Mr.Phong, the development of My Phuoc township’s trade-service sector has also actively affected the local industrial manufacture. Investors have felt very secured when making investment in the township. This is because the township has supplied stable accommodations to laborers, paid more attention to their lives and developed many useful services at investors’ demands...
My Phuoc township now sees a strong development in the trade and service sectors with the lives of the local people improved and streets getting cleaner and more beautiful. This is seen as an indispensable result from the province’s policy bringing industrial manufacture to northern districts. The development of industrial manufacture with industrial parks will be a lever for My Phuoc township to create breakthroughs in the trade-service sectors.
