
At My Phuoc water supply plant.
After 12 months of construction, Binh Duong Water Supply and Environment Co.Ltd. today holds an opening ceremony of the first phase of My Phuoc water supply plant with the capacity of 30,000 cubic meters per day and night, with the total investment capital of VND519bil. The plant’s clean water meets not only demand of households in urban residential areas, My Phuoc industrial park but residential areas adjoining Viet Huong II industrial parks, Ascendas – Protrade Singapore hi-tech area and more, timely satisfying local people and enterprises’ demand.
Nguyen Van Thien, general director of Binh Duong Water Supply and Environment Co.Ltd. (Biwase) said that several months ago, clean water pipe lines of the plant were completed item of passing over Thi Tinh River, bringing clean water to residents living in residential areas near Viet Huong II industrial park, Ascendas – Protrade Singapore hi-tech area and more. This is the first time local residents enjoying clean water and enterprises ensuring adequate supply of water for production.
Along with taking clean water over Thi Tinh River, Biwase also completes system of waste water collection and drainage, solving prolonged pollution in this area. Clean water for life not only brings joy for people but helps enterprises spur new rural building on the revolutionary land.
The first phase of My Phuoc water supply project with the capacity of 30,000 cubic meters per day and night belongs to Vietnam water supply project and capitalizes at VND519bil from ODA capital source of the World Bank. Vietnam Water and Environment Investment Corporation under the Construction Ministry is the contractor of this project. Operation of this project will meet better demand on water for life at residential areas, Binh Duong industry-service and urban complex in attachment to My Phuoc industrial park on the area of over 9,000ha. Half of the mentioned area is zoned for urban, residential areas, schools, parks and the remaining for production. The area’s population scope will be at more than one million people by 2020.
Pham Van Chien, director of Binh Duong industry-service and urban complex’s Water Supply Plant said that facing rapid pace of urban and industrial development, the 60,000 cubic meters/ day and night available capacity of the plant is overloaded. Thanks to well preparation, the plant increases additional capacity in service for local households and enterprises.
In reality, works invested by Biwase gain quality and timely process. They include Thu Dau Mot waste water treatment plant, South Binh Duong solid waste treatment complex, Di An II water supply plant and more. Thien revealed that the achievements are thanks to Biwase’ trained, united and responsible human resources. In addition, the company has many experiences in selecting technology, launching construction items properly to shrink time and cost in a bid to soon put into operation.
