My Phuoc’s trade-service sector gained vigorous growth

As a central ward of Ben Cat town, My Phuoc has reached robust growth in trade-service sector, contributing to increasing the local State budge revenue, improving the lives of people and promoting the local image.

Appropriate solutions

Over the past years, My Phuoc ward’s Party Committee issued resolutions on socio-economic development in line with the local real situation, with focus on upholding the local advantages in terms of traffic, geographical position, creating favorable conditions for organizations and individuals to promote trade-service activities.

Accordingly, the ward built and upgraded markets at the local demand for development. After being rebuilt in 2013, Ben Cat market has so far contributed to connecting trade activities of the whole region. The ward has also set up a management board of the market; coordinated with functional agencies to strictly handle street-side vendors encroaching on pavement and roads, especially street markets, aiming to restore the local market order…

Nguyen Thi Tram, residing in My Phuoc ward’s quarter 2 said that she only earned several hundred thousand dong from her grocery in the past. But, after traffic works in the front of her house were upgraded, she can reach the annual revenue of VND30million-VND40million per month. On year-end months, she is proactive to prepare capital for goods stockpiling at the local people’s demand for shopping.

Further facilitating development of trade-service

Along with trade activities, My Phuoc ward has witnessed the robust growth of services on finance-baking, telecommunications…. The whole ward is now home to more than 4,200 households getting involved in business scopes in terms of building materials, eating-drinking, garment-textile…There are also nearly 2,000 proprietors with 24,495 rooms.

The trade-service sector has also made great contributions to the local State budget revenue. In the first nine months of 2018, the ward’s State budge collection obtained more than VND13billion or 71.6% of the year’s plan. The development of the sector has become more and more luxuriant, created jobs and increased income for people. Noticeably, the average income per capita of the local people in 2017 was VND90million.

Nguyen Thanh Phong, Chairman of My Phuoc ward’s People’s Committee said that for better development, the ward has put forward practical solutions in line with the local real situation. Accordingly, the ward will further work with relevant agencies to well realize site clearance; attach special importance to fostering trade-service activities…The ward will also create a favorable investment climate for businesses, organizations and individuals; encourage locals to enrich themselves legitimately…, thereby making a driving force for the local development.
