My Phuoc is a central ward of Ben Cat town. Over the past years, the ward’s Party, government and people well tapped existing advantages to promote trade and services, significantly contributing to the local development.
My Phuoc ward reached robust socio-economic growth over the past years. Till 2016, the proportion of trade-services accounted for 25% of the local economic structure. The average income of locals gained VND70million per person. The rate of the local poor households was below 0.45% of total under the province’s poverty line.

The ward has so far had a total of 496 businesses and nearly 4,800 trade-services business households. In terms of services, the ward has had a total of more than 1,800 lodging owners and more than 1,000 goods retail agents. Some kinds of services on transportation, credit, banking, post-telecommunications…have also reached vigorous development, contributing to promoting other economic sectors of the locality.
Le Ngoc Bang Chau, Vice-Chairwoman of My Phuoc ward’s People’s Committee said that in order to obtain results in the field of trade-services, the ward’s People’s Committee and People’s Council promulgated resolutions on socio-economic development in line with the local real situation over the past time. The contents of the resolutions focused on propaganda work, administrative reform…, creating the local favorable investment climate for investors. The ward also continued upholding its strong points on traffic and geography, promoting the local trade and services.
However, the ward has faced difficulties in State administration over the field of trade-services, especially in lodging development for change.
To fulfill plans on trade-services development in 2017 and in the following years, My Phuoc ward will concentrate on well controlling over the activities of trade-services models. The ward will also drastically deal with street trading activities…so that trade-services are able to be developed in line with the scale of a central ward of Ben Cat town.
