Morning August 6th, NA Standing Committee’s supervisory delegation comprising 12 members led by Mr. Nguyen Van Giau, Member of Party Central, Member of National Assembly Standing Committee, Head of NA’s Economic – Foreign Relations Commission, had a working session with provincial People's Council, People's Committee on the results of economic integration since Vietnam joined the WTO. Mr. Tran Thanh Liem, Vice Chairman of PPC, received the delegation.
After 7 years of WTO accession, FDI enterprises in Binh Duong province have made breakthroughs. By the end of June 2015, the province absorbed 2,490 FDI enterprises with a registered capital of VND21 billion. Socioeconomic changed positively, trade – service increased. Per capita income in 2015 was VND72.3 million, which was higher than the average rate of the country; the spiritual life of people has also been improved. Especially, provincial urban face was more spacious, clean and beautiful...
Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Van Giau said, Binh Duong was a highlight of the country in attracting foreign investment. Joining the WTO has created new breath helping the province to promote development in various fields. Additionally, provincial leaders were very flexible in applying policies and regulations of the Government to prepare for the integration. WTO accession has brought prosperity and also defense - security, social security issues to Binh Duong, as the province has been receiving hundreds thousand of workers from other localities and thousands of experts from abroad. Economic development coupled with social welfare, maintaining national defense – security is an important task that Binh Duong Party and people have strived for.
