The provincial People’s Committee chairman Le Thanh Cung, vice chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Tran Van Nam and reps of departments, agencies and localities yesterday heard reports on a project of National highway 13 elevated road from Becamex IDC and a consultancy unit.
Reportedly, the project has a total length of over 31km starting from Vinh Binh Bridge in Thuan An town to belt road 4 in My Phuoc township, Ben Cat district. The highway will have four lanes and will be divided into 2 phases. Of this, the 1st phase will go from Vinh Binh Bridge to So Sao crossroad with the length of 22.41km and investment capital of US$616mil. The second phase will go from So Sao crossroad to belt road 4 with the length of 8.64km and investment cost of US$216mil. It is expected that the project will be started in 2012 and completed within 2 years of construction.
At the meeting, the provincial People’s Committee chairman Le Thanh Cung highly valued importance of the project and stressed that this is a key road for local socio-economic development in the coming time.
The chairman asked the consultancy unit to ensure modernity of the project and complete design and consultancy in Oct. 2011.
