On December 30, Binh Duong provincial Road Traffic Project Management Board held a groundbreaking ceremony to upgrade and expand DT746 road, the section from Tan Thanh junction (Tan Thanh commune, North Tan Uyen district) to Hoi Nghia junction (Hoi Nghia ward, Tan Uyen Town).
The groundbreaking ceremony had the participation of Vo Van Ba, Member of Provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of Provincial Party Internal Affairs Board; Truong Thi Bich Hanh, Member of Provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of Provincial Party Propagation and Education Committee; Nguyen Truong Nhat Phuong, Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Council; Nguyen Van Danh, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.
The road project has a total length of 11,434km, was designed according to standards of third-grade delta roads, with a speed of 80km/h for sections outside urban areas and a speed of 50-60km/h for sections through urban areas; roadbed width 38m, 6 lanes. Total project investment value is more than 1,492 billion VND financed by the state budget; in which the cost of construction is 489.6 billion VND, the cost of site clearance compensation is 866 billion VND.
Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony, Nguyen Van Danh emphasized that the DT746 road is the main axis passing through North Tan Uyen district, Tan Uyen town, and VSIP 3. The investment will create favorable conditions for the connection between North Tan Uyen - Phu Giao - Bau Bang and Ring 4 - Ho Chi Minh City roads, shorten travel and freight transport time to important traffic hubs, such as: Long Thanh airport, Thi Vai port, Cai Mep port... contribute to ensuring traffic safety, socio-economic development, investment attraction in the province and the Southern key economic region. Nguyen Van Danh also asked investors and constructors to implement synchronous construction solutions, ensure work quality, labor safety throughout the construction process...
