According to Thuan An town People's Committee, in 2019, the town continues to carry out key projects set by the town Party Resolution 2015-2020. Accordingly, the town performs well the urban renovation work, strives to meet urban criteria of class 3; allocates capital to transition construction projects; focuses on investment in education, solve overloaded schools; along with the construction of resettlement areas and the Center for Culture - Sports. The town also allocates capital to solve flooding in urban areas, ensures safety of embankments and rivers; increase urban green areas.
In 2019, total allocated public investment capital of the town is VND 264,823 billion for 60 projects, namely: Education field has VND 48 billion / 2 projects, urban renovation 58.7 billion VND / 12 projects. The town also continues to implement measures to improve the quality of low-end criteria of class-3 urban and strives to meet class-2 urban criteria.
In 2018, adjusted public investment plan of Thuan An was VND 454.947 billion to implement 73 projects. Estimated disbursement value for public investment projects in the past year was VND 430.408 billion, achieved 94.61% of the plan, of which provincial capital managed and supported by the province, decentralized capital achieved 100% target; lottery capital was estimated to reach 80.05% target. Regarding public investment plan of communes, wards and towns, 9 projects were completed; payment volume reached VND 3.046 billion; estimated disbursement value was VND 7.038 billion, reaching 86.52% target.
Last year, the town also speeded up the implementation of works using salary reform fund. As a result, the estimated disbursement value of these projects in the past year was VND 75 billion, reaching 100% of the year plan and reaching 18.75% of the plan for the period 2018-2020.
