After 4 years of establishment (April 1, 2014-April 1, 2018), North Tan Uyen has changed strongly with a synchronous infrastructure system and people’s lives improved. The district is striving to become a new rural one in 2019.
Attaching special importance to investment quality
After being established, North Tan Uyen district has had overall and sectorial development plans approved by provincial People’s Committee, thereby helping the local management and realization over investment attraction get more favorable. Accordingly, the district has focused on the attraction of hi-tech industries that are less labor intensive and more environmentally friendly.

The district’s People’s Committee said that attaching special importance to improving the quality of investment attraction has facilitated the district’s management, creating the premise for enterprises to reach sustainable development. But, in order to lure enterprises with the above requirements, the district needs to further perfect traffic, technical infrastructure systems.
Over the past time, the district’s People’s Committee promulgated a lot of instructions in the environmental and mineral domains, comprising of a plan on environmental protection in 2018; a plan on the inspection of the legal dispute in the domains of land, environment and water for production-trading facilities; a plan on clearing canals, aiming to creating favorable conditions for investors to work towards sustainable development.
Two urban areas under formation
Thai Thanh Binh, Chairman of North Tan Uyen district said that the district’s objective in 2018 is to develop Tan Thanh and Tan Binh urban areas under the spirit of the Resolution of the district’s Party Committee. Tan Thanh has so far reached standards of a fifth-class urban area. The district’s People’s Committee has set an overall draft plan on Tan Binh urban development till 2040.
Along with synchronous infrastructure investment, the district has made a highlight in connecting streets, namely the five-way crossroads of Tan Binh, North Tan Uyen-Dat Cuoc-Bau Bang-Cong Xanh…Many upgraded works, including DT746 Tan Thanh-Hoi Nghia, DT747 with the sector of Cau Go-Hieu Liem…will make favorable trade activities for the district’s two urban areas after being completed.
As planned in 2018, the district will bend on developing infrastructure systems at regulated standards. Particularly, the district now has a total of 74 investment projects with total capital implemented of more than VND284billion.
Enhancing quality of criteria on new rural construction
All 10 communes of North Tan Uyen district have just been recognized as new rural ones by provincial People’s Committee. However, under the new set of criteria on new rural construction, there are 6 new rural communes, namely Tan Thanh, Tan Lap, Dat Cuoc, Hieu Liem, Tan My and Binh My.
At a conference partially reviewing the results of new rural construction in Q1, 2018 and implementing orientations, tasks for Q2, 2018, the district’s People’s Committee, the district’s People’s Committee instructed the People’s Committees of communes to concentrate on perfecting the remaining criteria of new rural construction and further maintaining completed ones.
Huynh Tan Vi, Chairman of Tan Dinh communal People’s Committee said that the commune’s new rural construction movement has contributed to improving the material and spiritual lives of the local people. Noticeably, the commune’s traffic rural system has been upgraded with standards ensured.
Tthe district now has a total of 42 poor households under the province’s poverty line. In addition, there are more than 99% of households in use of clean water and national power grid. It is known that the district last year organized a ceremony to receive “North Tan Uyen orange” and “North Tan Uyen pomelo” collective trade mark certifications…
