High price
At present, price of rubber latex in the province has been
maintained stably, bringing joy for rubber growers. Statistically, the province
has over 130,000ha of rubber tree, 84,000ha of which are household rubber area.
The average yield of households rubber growing area is at 1.5-1.7 tons per ha
with an average price of VND27,000-29,000 per kg, a 42-45% increase from 2010. 
Stable price of rubber latex brings a comfortable life for farmers.
With one ha of rubber tree, owners can reap about VND100mil per year. The high income from rubber tree has improved local residents’ spiritual and material life and contributed to develop socio-economic infrastructure structure in rural areas.
An abundant crop
Additional factor bringing a stable income for rubber growers is the weather. The advantageous weather helps local rubber tree develop well and give latex stably as well as minimize spread of epidemic diseases on the tree.
Nguyen Phong Huy, from the provincial Plant Protection Bureau said that thanks to initiative from functional agencies and rubber growers, diseases on the tree have been curbed significantly.
The local rubber growers hope that rubber latex price in 2012 will be maintained stably. At present, they have prepared for a warm and happy Tet holiday.
