On the morning of March 23, provincial People's Committee held an online conference on green technology application in production and cooperation opportunities in technology transfer with European businesses.
Attending the conference were Mai Hung Dung, member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice-Chairman of provincial People's Committee; leaders of departments, sectors, businesses and representatives of the European Union Commission (photo).
At the conference, Ambassador Giorgio Aliberti, Head of the EU Delegation to Vietnam said: “Vietnam is one of the countries with potential for green technology development towards sustainable development. It is expected that the cooperation between Vietnam and the European Union will have many new steps in the coming time...”.
Speaking at the conference, Mr. Dung said that Binh Duong is continuing promoting sustainable development towards a smart, civilized and modern city, with major projects such as the World Trade Center Binh Duong new city and Science - Technology Industrial Park. The province has also paid attention to promoting digital transformation, smart production and creating favorable conditions for domestic enterprises to step by step access advanced technologies and join the global value chain; focused on building and developing an innovative start-up ecosystem, strengthening the “three-side” linkage.
The conference will open up many opportunities for the province and businesses as well as organizations and individuals participating in events, thereby strengthening the development of an open multilateral trading system, connecting businesses, participating in the sharing economy, sharing experience in green production technologies; discussing orientations in the future; promoting liberalization in terms of trade, investment and economy for the mutual benefit of countries in the Asia-Pacific region and Europe.
