On the afternoon of August 26, Mai Hung Dung, member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice-Chairman of provincial People’s Committee attended an online seminar on Japanese investment promotion, which was co-held by the Osaka Chamber of Industry-Commerce and Becamex IDC.
The seminar absorbed the participation of leaders of relevant sectors, departments, provincial Industrial Parks ‘Management Board together with around 280 Japanese corporations and businesses, including many operating in Vietnam and in the province.
It aimed to introduce the province’s potential, competitive advantages, investment attraction policies into industrial parks and compounds; investment attraction policies for foreign investors; grasp information, foreign investors ‘needs…, thereby building up the relationship between the local administration, Becamex IDC and investors from Japan.
Addressing the seminar, Mr.Dung said that Vietnam in general and Binh Duong in particular have always given priority to FDI projects with advanced technologies, high added value and coherence for the development of the global supply chain. As a locality with strong development in industrial production, Binh Duong is the best destination for foreign investors when making investment in Vietnam. The province has ranked second nationwide in FDI attraction only after HCM city with more than US$35trillion from 65 countries and territories. Japan is now one of countries with the most investment projects in the province.
“In 2018, Binh Duong was selected as one of provinces and cities with the world’s exemplary strategies for smart city development. The province is perfecting its infrastructure facility, developing industrial parks to make traffic connectivity in the southern key economic zone. The province has still always improved the local investment climate, better serving the local demand for investment attraction. The province has always created favorable conditions for foreign investors to work effectively. The success of enterprises is also the success of the province…”, said Mr.Dung.
