Only in January 2020, many businesses in the province received orders for until middle, even the end of the year. This is a good signal that helps businesses feel more confident in production and investment to improve product quality. According to Dien Quang Hiep, Chairman of Binh Duong Furniture Association (BIFA), in 2020, the wood industry is expected to continue to attain high growth rate. At present, many member companies have orders for until the end of the year. After Tet holiday, to solve the problem of labor shortage, many large enterprises joined hands with other furniture manufacturing organisations to share their orders to ensure sources.
Huynh Quang Thanh, General Director of Hiep Long Company (Thuan An Town), said that the company's products were mainly exported to European and American markets. Edwin van de Sloot, Managing Director of ScanCom Vietnam Company (Di An Town), said the company was looking for lands in Binh Duong to expand production and boost exports. According to him, in the coming time, the provincial government should pay more attention to the application of 4.0 technologies to have a database connecting domestic production facilities, thereby helping businesses to buy domestic raw materials for processing. Therefore, Binh Duong's industry would develop higher and more sustainable in the future. It is known that provincial Department of Industry and Trade has been actively implementing the project of enterprise database to have transparent information to facilitate domestic enterprises and attract investment in high-tech industries.
Trần Thanh Liêm, Deputy Secretary of Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of Provincial People's Committee, affirmed that in 2020, the province continues to direct sectors to intensify training of qualified human resources to meet production needs of enterprises.
