Phu Giao district’s Farmers’ Association has just summed up its emulation movement of “Good farmer in production and business” in the 2012 and 2014 period.
During the period, the district’s Farmers’ Associations at all levels sped up dissemination of information about the emulation movement among members. There were 26,570 farming households registering to take part in the emulation movement or 91% of total. Over the past two years, the whole district had a total of 13,926 farming households winning the title of “Good farmer in production and business”. Among them, 179 were recognized as good farmers at central level, 1,091 at provincial level, 2,704 at district level and 9,952 at communal level.
Many effective models, including the model of orchard development, fish breeding and animal husbandry of farmers Nguyen Van Khai, Phung Van Thuc and Pham Thi Hong Cam in Tam Lap commune; the model of orchard development and animal husbandry of farmer Nguyen Ngoc Diep in Phuoc Vinh township; the model of pig breeding of farmer Tran Van Ly in Vinh Hoa commune…also appeared across the district through the emulation movement.
