On April 20, Phu Giao district’s Farmers Association forwarded a conference honoring outstanding farmers between 2010 and 2015.
Outstanding individuals awarded the certificates of merit of provincial Farmers Association
The association promoted patriotic emulation movements among the local farmers during the past five years. As a result, there were 31,705 farming households winning the title of “good farmer in production and business” or 74.7% of total households registering for the title. Around 1,446 farming households were also supported to rise up out of poverty…
Under the emulation movement of “Farmers joining hands to building new rural areas”, members of the association contributed nearly VND15mln and 5,000 working days to building and upgrading 141.5 kilometers of rural roads, dredging 7.1 kilometers of canals and installing 57 sullage pits. The association also mobilized members to use clean water and took part in environmental protection works; mobilized 567 members to join the local militia…, contributing to maintaining the local social order and safety.
During the 2015-2020 period, the district’s Farmers Association and its affiliates will continue effectively implementing emulation movements. In 2015 alone, they will strive to get 5,080 farming households winning the title of “good farmer in production and business”; develop the local support fund for farmers with VND210mln; organize training courses on sci-tech transfer for 9,000 farmers; team up with relevant agencies to give vocational training for 360 members, 250 of whom will be offered jobs after graduation.
On this occasion, 15 outstanding collectives and individuals in patriotic emulation movements between 2010 and 2015 were awarded the certificates of merit of provincial Farmers Association. The district’s Farmers Association also conferred the certificates of merit to 12 other outstanding individuals.
